Cases of angular limb deformities manifested as a medial or lateral deviation of the limb and their ways of management are discussed. The reason of the condition usually appears to be an unbalanced growth of the physis of the bone, that may be treated by retardation as well as by stimulation procedures. Transection of the periosteum and periosteal stripping as a method of stimulating the physeal growth is described in detail. Using this technique, limb deformities can be corrected in most cases. Implantation of 2 screws and wire cerclages is explained as the principal method of retardation that may also be combined with the stimulating technique in elected cases. Transphyseal bridging is described being performed in the distal radius, distal metacarpus/metatarsusa nd distal tibia. Appearanceof deviations occurins in other conditions is outlined.
