This article gives an introduction of the Equine-Gait-Analysis-System. From 91 horses, 60 sound horses and 31 with navicular disease, respectively one typical case has been chosen and the data of each have been determined. Mainly the comparison of the contralateral limbs of each horse is placed into the foreground. By means of different parameters the existent lameness of a horse with navicular disease is proved. There are also shown the typical changes of various extent occuring with navicular disease in contrast to the normal gait patterns in sound horses. Apart from the temporal shifting of the gait patterns the development and the strength of the vertical force has a special importance by this concern.
